The
Mission of Blackdems is threefold. First, to EDUCATE
the public on political and legislative issues that affect
the African American Community.
Second, to EMPOWER
African Americans by maximizing opportunities through political
organizing, training future leaders, and uniting with other
communities that desire positive change.
Third, to ENERGIZE
African Americans to take a proactive, ownership-based
approach to local community development and management.
Our
History
In the early part of 2005 four African Americans
set out to get our communities more involved in their government.
Blackdems was formed from this desire to use political action
to address the challenges facing our communities.
